When you say
Unlimited bandwidth, what do you mean?
This means we will allow you to use what you need as long as it does not affect
other web sites. If you use an excessive amount, we will temporarily suspend
your account and come up with a solution to reduce bandwidth consumption.
Can I have adult material? What counts as Adult material?
No we do not allow adult material. Nudity, pornography or offensive material are
counted as adult material.
Will DAWWAR.net install and configure my scripts?
We will help you with general variable input such as where is perl, sendmail and so forth but we will not fully install your scripts. Only server
related help will be given. We will install for a small charge if you would
like.
How do I FTP?
If your DNS has not taken effect you can ftp to ftp://213.171.193.5.
If they have taken effect they are ftp://ftp.yourdomain.com. Your username is
just yourdomain.com or .net etc.
I just signed up, what
do I have to do?
You have to go to where you registered your domain name. They will have a
place that
lists the DNS servers. You should put the DNS names we provided in your
information email(ns1.livedns.co.uk 213.171.192.250 and ns2.livedns.co.uk
213.171.193.250)It may take them 24 to 72 hours for them to update
their servers so please be patient. As
soon as they are updated you may begin uploading files to your account.
Where do I put my files
in my FTP account?
When you log into your ftp account, you will need to upload your files to the
folder called htdocs. Within the htdocs folder you may make as many other
folders you would like to use in your web page. You may also make folders that
are not contained in your htdocs for storage purposes.
How do I add an email
account?
Go to Member area
How do I check my email
with my new email accounts?
You may check it using Microsoft Outlook or Eudora mail or any program that
supports POP3 email accounts. You may also check your email anywhere in the
world by using www.webmail.com and entering the correct information with them.
The incoming mail server is mail.yourdomain.com or .net or .org. The
outgoing mail server (smtp server) is provided by your ISP. Your user name is
your
full email address and your password was supplied to you when it was created.
